MANILA, 21 July 2026 – Atome Philippines, part of Southeast Asia’s leading digital finance platform, and Chubb Philippines today announced the launch of Atome Card Shield — an affordable insurance plan combining shopping insurance coverage with personal accident benefits, available to Atome Cardholders at just ₱62 per month.
The launch builds on Atome and Chubb’s regional partnership, established in 2024 to co-create insurance protection tailored to multiple Southeast Asian markets. In the Philippines, Atome Card Shield is purpose-built for the more than 3 million Atome Cardholders — approximately 80% of whom are first-time cardholders who rely on the card for daily essentials such as groceries, transport, and utility bills.
For many of these cardholders, Atome Card Shield may be their first insurance product. By bundling online shopping protection and personal accident coverage into a single low-cost plan, the partnership puts meaningful financial protection within reach of underbanked Filipinos who have historically had limited access to insurance. To enjoy these benefits, Atome users with good credit standing between 18 and 75 years old can simply activate Atome Card Shield in the Atome app.
With Atome Card Shield, cardholders have access to:
· Buyer and purchase protection: Covers online shopping purchases if the insured item does not arrive, does not match the seller’s description, or is accidentally damaged or stolen within 30 days of purchase, with reimbursement up to the purchase value.
·Coverage for online shopping fraud and unauthorized transactions: Covers online purchases from a fraudulent website or fake seller, and any unauthorized transactions made on your Atome Card.
·Personal accident coverage: Provides benefits for accidental death (including while riding a motorcycle), and accidental permanent disablement up to ₱150,000.
