The Alcantara Group’s second and third generations standing side by side, symbolizing the continuity of leadership and the shared commitment to carrying the company’s mission forward.
Seventy years after its founding, Alcantara Group marked a defining milestone that honored its roots while setting a clear direction for the decades ahead. The anniversary celebration, held on December 4, 2025 at Dusit Thani Residence Davao, gathered leaders, employees, partners, and long-time collaborators under the theme “Seventy Years Strong: Forward Together,” a reflection of both continuity and momentum.
Staged in Davao, where the Group’s story first took shape in the mid-1950s, the event traced the evolution of Conrado Alcantara and Sons, Inc. from a homegrown enterprise into one of the country’s most diversified Filipino-owned conglomerates.
A curated exhibit and program chronicled key chapters in that journey, highlighting how disciplined leadership and long-term vision enabled expansion across energy, agribusiness, and real estate, while remaining grounded in the founder’s commitment to service and nation-building.

Guests were welcomed by a specially curated anniversary exhibit that paid tribute to the founders and the leaders of the Alcantara group, showcasing the Group’s seven-decade journey—from its beginnings in Davao to its growth into one of the country’s most diversified Filipino-owned conglomerates.
The celebration paid tribute not only to founder Conrado Alcantara and the second-generation leaders who broadened the Group’s reach, but also to the employees, partners, and communities whose collective effort sustained the enterprise through shifting economic cycles and industry change.
Their shared stories underscored a culture shaped by collaboration, resilience, and a consistent focus on creating value beyond the balance sheet.
Chairman Nicasio I. Alcantara reflected on the meaning of the milestone, noting that the Group’s strength has always come from people working with a common purpose. He emphasized that strategy alone did not carry the organization through seven decades, but a unifying spirit of service and growth that uplifts communities alongside the business.
As the third generation prepares to take on greater leadership roles, the Group’s subsidiaries are advancing that legacy with renewed focus. Its real estate arm, Alsons Development and Investment Corporation, continues to translate the founder’s foresight for Mindanao into community-oriented developments that balance progress with stewardship.
President and CEO Miguel Rene A. Dominguez said the next chapter will be defined by responsible growth, long-term value creation, and the same integrity that guided earlier generations.
Building on seven decades of experience, the Alcantara Group enters its next phase committed to expanding its diversified businesses and strengthening industries that support inclusive, sustainable development.
Anchored by the principles that shaped its beginnings and energized by new leadership, the Group looks ahead with confidence, focused on creating opportunities, sustaining growth, and leaving a lasting impact for generations to come.
