Locally made ceramic products from Albay are displayed at the Sa’od Albay Trade Fair 2026 at Ayala Malls Legazpi, giving pottery makers a venue to showcase their crafts and reach new customers.
Pottery makers and other small businesses in Albay gained a wider platform to promote their products through a four-day trade fair organized by the Department of Trade and Industry.
The Sa’od Albay Trade Fair 2026, featuring Disenyo Ceramika at Ayala Malls Legazpi, brought together micro, small and medium enterprises seeking to reach new customers and build business connections.
Leonardo Clado, president of the Putsan Ceramic Manufacturer Association Inc., said the event allowed local pottery makers to showcase their products beyond Tiwi and reach buyers in other parts of the province.
Clado said joining DTI-organized fairs also helped producers meet potential clients and expand their customer base, giving small enterprises more opportunities to sustain their businesses.
The fair featured ceramic jars, lamps, vases, keychains and other pottery items, along with bamboo products, coco shell crafts, food, agricultural goods and other locally made products.
Maritess Colina of D’Natureland Pottery in Tiwi said the trade fair had become an important venue for MSMEs that depend on their products for income.
Colina, who had been making pottery products for 17 years, said she handled painting and marketing work for their business while also joining promotional activities organized by the DTI.
She added that the agency had invited pottery makers to trade fairs outside Albay, including events in Manila, giving them more chances to introduce their products to a broader market.
