COTABATO CITY – Authorities arrested four persons and seized suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P5.4 million, during separate entrapment operations here and in Marawi City, police reported Saturday.
In this city, a mother-daughter tandem was arrested during an entrapment operation in Barangay Poblacion 5 at about 7 p.m. Friday. Anti-narcotics agents seized P3.4 million worth of prohibited drugs.
Spearheading the entrapment operation were agents of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Drug Enforcement Group – Regional Operations Unit in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEG-ROU-BARMM).
In a report to Brig. Gen. Jaysen de Guzman, BARMM regional police director, the PDEG-ROU-BARMM said anti-narcotics operatives handcuffed alias Fhar, 38, of Barangay Poblacion 1, after she handed over the prohibited stuff to an undercover agent.
She was with her 16-year-old daughter during the operation. Seized from them were 10 huge sachets of suspected shabu.
The 16-year-old was turned over to the city social welfare office, while the mother will be charged with violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
