2GO has given its Escolta branch a fresh new look, transforming the long-standing outlet in Binondo into a modern, multifunctional hub that blends logistics, travel services, and customer comfort in one space. Located at the ground floor of the AIC Center along Escolta Street, the branch continued to operate throughout the renovation, ensuring uninterrupted service for customers in one of Manila’s most historic commercial corridors.

The newly upgraded site marks a milestone for the company with the launch of the first-ever retail outlet featuring Cafe 2GO, the brand’s in-house café concept previously found only aboard its vessels. By bringing Cafe 2GO to the ground, the company is extending the onboard travel experience to land-based customers, offering a more relaxed and welcoming environment where clients can wait, meet, or work while completing transactions.

Beyond the café, the revamped branch reflects 2GO’s broader push to enhance both customer experience and internal capability-building. The space now includes a dedicated Cafe 2GO Training Room, which will serve as a central venue for barista onboarding, skills development, and continuous learning programs across the company’s retail network. The facility is designed to support consistent service quality while strengthening the competencies of frontline teams.

The Escolta branch has also been reimagined as a practical meeting and collaboration space, allowing MSMEs, partners, and customers to discuss shipments, coordinate logistics, and make business decisions on-site. This setup aligns with 2GO’s role as an integrated provider of logistics and travel solutions, particularly for enterprises that rely on efficient, end-to-end services.

According to 2GO Travel Assistant Vice President for Food and Beverage, Ancillary, and Hotel Operations Roland Sunga, Cafe 2GO was developed to enhance the overall customer journey. Bringing it into a retail setting, he said, allows the company to deliver the same elevated experience on the ground while using the training facility to continuously refine offerings and service standards.

Strategically located in Binondo, the Escolta branch remains a key gateway for trade and commerce, supporting the movement of machinery, spare parts, textiles, and wholesale goods across cities and regions nationwide. Its proximity to traditional trading hubs makes it especially vital to micro, small, and medium enterprises that depend on reliable logistics.

For 2GO Retail Business Unit Head Blessie Cruz, the revitalized branch represents more than a physical upgrade. She described the space as a platform for MSME growth, where enhanced facilities and the introduction of Cafe 2GO come together to improve customer experience while opening new opportunities for the communities the company serves.
