2GO Travel, the country’s leading sea travel operator, is bringing Filipino flavors to the forefront with the launch of Taste of the Philippines—a first-of-its-kind cultural and culinary voyage designed to showcase the country’s rich food heritage while shaping the next generation of tourism, hospitality, and culinary professionals.
Created in partnership with FEATR Media, the digital platform known for spotlighting Filipino food and travel stories, the program goes beyond traditional tours. It offers students and food enthusiasts immersive experiences on board and ashore—combining travel, education, and cultural appreciation in one unforgettable journey.
Every voyage highlights the unique flavors and traditions of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Participants will take part in hands-on culinary workshops, live cooking demos led by celebrated chefs, and guided visits to vibrant local markets. Curated tastings will highlight regional specialties, while interactive sessions with industry leaders provide mentorship and networking opportunities for aspiring professionals eyeing careers in the hospitality and culinary industries at home and abroad.
“Filipino cuisine has so many regional stories waiting to be told,” said Erwan Heussaff, co-founder of FEATR Media. “Through this program, we not only nurture a deeper appreciation for our diverse food culture but also give future storytellers and chefs the tools to share it with the world.”
As part of the collaboration, FEATR will document the voyages and amplify these culinary experiences across digital platforms, ensuring Philippine food culture continues to gain recognition globally.
For 2GO, Taste of the Philippines is more than a travel experience—it’s an extension of its Educational Tour Series, designed to provide real-world learning opportunities for students. “This initiative bridges travel, education, and cultural appreciation, all while celebrating the richness of our cuisine,” said Francis Chua, 2GO Travel Business Unit Head.
The inaugural run sets sail in September 2025, with a limited program covering the Manila–Cebu–Cagayan de Oro route. Each stop offers participants an opportunity to discover the unique flavors and culinary traditions that define the country’s major islands.
