1Life, Inc. has crossed a major milestone, serving one million patients in just two years as its tech-enabled healthcare network reshapes how primary care is delivered across the Philippines. The achievement reflects a bold rethink of community healthcare—one that replaces long waits and fragmented services with fast, integrated, and preventive care brought directly to where people live.
Founded with a strong social mission, 1Life, Inc. has deployed its model across more than 1,261 municipalities and 80 provinces, proving that advanced diagnostics and AI-supported care can work reliably at scale, even in geographically isolated and low-resource communities.
What typically takes four days in a traditional primary care setting is now compressed into a single visit lasting about an hour.
At the center of this approach is an integrated system that combines diagnostics, doctor consultations, and medicines in one seamless encounter. Using portable medical devices, cloud-based patient records, and AI-assisted workflows, 1Life enables communities—particularly in rural areas—to access services that were once distant or unavailable.
Residents can receive tests such as CBC, X-ray, ultrasound, ECG, urinalysis, and blood chemistry, followed immediately by physician consultations and prescribed medication.
The one-million-patient mark reflects a wide range of touchpoints. Most patients were served through community medical missions, while others came from 1Life Primary Care Facilities, partner clinics using the company’s Digital Community Healthcare System, and school and workplace health programs conducted with local and national partners.
In 2024 alone, 1Life reached more than half a million Filipinos, deploying multiple medical teams daily and using AI tools to manage high patient volumes without sacrificing quality of care.
Driving this scale is the 1Life Digital Community Healthcare System, a unified platform linking field missions, clinics, hospitals, pharmacies, and laboratories. The ecosystem is reinforced by DocMate AI, trained on hundreds of thousands of Filipino patient records, and the recently launched 1Life Health App, which gives users access to medical records, medicine reminders, and reliable health information.
Together, these tools generate real-time insights for partners and support a shift away from hospital-centric treatment toward early detection and prevention—an objective aligned with ongoing healthcare reforms.
The milestone also supports the country’s push for stronger universal health coverage. As an accredited partner of the Department of Health, PhilHealth, local government units, and the Department of Education YAKAP program, 1Life helps decongest hospitals by addressing health issues earlier at the community level.
Local leaders, including those in remote and conflict-affected areas, have noted increased participation in health programs and stronger trust among residents experiencing timely, respectful care for the first time.
Nino Namoco, President of 1Life, said the milestone reflects the company’s responsibility to the people it serves. “Reaching one million patients is a reminder that accessible healthcare can change lives when delivered with consistency, compassion, and the right technology. Every person we serve represents a family and a story, and we carry that responsibility with humility,” he said.
Namoco added that the company remains focused on underserved communities and preventive care. “Our goal is simple: to make quality primary healthcare accessible to all. Early detection and prevention have allowed us to reach a million patients and advance the pursuit of universal health equity. This milestone is only the beginning.”
With its expanding footprint, AI-driven tools, and proven ability to operate nationwide, 1Life continues to strengthen its position in the Philippine healthtech sector. Its experience shows that technology-supported primary care can deliver measurable, scalable impact—bringing the promise of faster, preventive healthcare closer to Filipino communities nationwide.
