The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Friday said much of the country will experience rainy weather on Friday due to several prevailing weather systems.
Pagasa said the northeast monsoon is expected to bring cloudy skies and periods of rain over Metro Manila and large parts of Luzon.
Several areas, including the Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mindoro, Marinduque, and parts of Bicol, may experience flooding or landslides due to continuous rains.
Light rains are also forecast over the Ilocos Region as the monsoon continues to influence northern Luzon.
The shear line is expected to cause scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms over Western Visayas, parts of Bicol, Romblon, and Northern Samar.
Pagasa said the easterlies will bring isolated rain showers and thunderstorms to the rest of the country, posing localized flood risks.
The weather bureau added that no low-pressure area or tropical cyclone is currently being monitored within the Philippine area of responsibility.
