Western Visayas trade fair exceeds PHP11 Million in Sales

The Department of Trade and Industry in Western Visayas (DTI-6) reported that the annual “Panubli-on” trade fair generated PHP11.2 million in combined cash and booked sales, surpassing its PHP8 million target.

Held from November 6 to 10, the event showcased products from 150 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the region. Immediate cash sales reached PHP3.3 million, while booked orders accounted for PHP7.9 million. Additional negotiations could raise total potential sales to PHP11.4 million.

Sales by province included Aklan with PHP5.7 million, Iloilo PHP2.8 million, Guimaras PHP966,000, Negros Occidental PHP902,000, Capiz PHP548,000, and Antique PHP502,000.

“Indeed, the theme for this year, conveying local ingenuity, new opportunities, has proven that Region 6 is an embodiment of the craftsmanship of MSMEs,” said DTI-6 Officer-in-Charge Ma. Dinda Tamayo.

The fair featured fashion and lifestyle products, home décor, food and beverages, coffee, cacao, handwoven fabrics, and souvenirs. It also highlighted innovations under One Town, One Product (OTOP), Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP), and the Creative Industries initiative.
