VALENZUELA CITY, Philippines — The Valenzuela City government is strictly enforcing its curfew ordinance for minors aged 17 and below as part of efforts to maintain public safety, peace, and order.

Under the city’s curfew regulations, minors are prohibited from roaming, loitering, or staying in public places, streets, and establishments between 10:00 PM and 4:00 AM.

The local government reminded residents that the restriction applies to minors who are outside their homes during curfew hours without a valid reason or appropriate adult supervision.

However, the city clarified that certain exemptions are allowed.

Minors may go outside during curfew hours if accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult. Those traveling to or from work, school, or authorized night classes are also exempted.

The restrictions likewise do not apply to minors facing emergencies, including medical situations or circumstances requiring disaster response.

City officials urged parents and guardians to monitor their children’s activities and ensure compliance with the curfew regulations.

The local government also called on residents to cooperate with authorities, emphasizing that discipline and community participation are essential to maintaining a safe and orderly environment.

Residents requiring emergency assistance are advised to contact the national emergency hotline at 911.
