MANILA, Philippines — The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has identified 10 persons of interest in connection with the seizure of 521 kilograms of suspected shabu in Laos, as authorities investigate possible links to a drug syndicate operating in Davao.

In an update on Thursday, October 15, 2026, the NBI disclosed that an individual known as alias “Fahad” has been linked to the suspected drug syndicate in Davao.

The identification of the persons of interest marks a development in the investigation into the possible involvement of individuals and organized drug trafficking networks in the seized illegal drugs.

Authorities are examining the suspected connections among the individuals identified and their possible roles in the illegal drug operation.

However, the identification of persons of interest does not necessarily establish criminal liability, as investigators must still determine their involvement based on available evidence.

Further details regarding the identities of the 10 individuals, the alleged role of alias Fahad, and possible criminal charges have yet to be disclosed.
