UnionBank of the Philippines is powering up the country’s entrepreneurs once again through its partnership with BRAND CON 2025, the Philippines’ first and largest annual convention dedicated to branding excellence for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The collaboration underscores UnionBank’s continuing role as a catalyst for innovation—helping Filipino entrepreneurs grow, adapt, and thrive in a competitive digital economy.
Set from November 11 to 13, 2025 at Newport Resorts World Manila, BRAND CON will gather business leaders, brand strategists, and SME owners to discuss how purposeful branding and smart innovation can shape business resilience and long-term sustainability.
Albert C. Cuadrante, UnionBank’s Chief Marketing Officer, said the partnership reflects the Bank’s commitment to empowering Filipino businesses. “Through UB Negosyante, we equip entrepreneurs with tools, financial solutions, and programs that help them scale and succeed. Our collaboration with BRAND CON mirrors our shared goal—to power up local brands and help them thrive in a dynamic market,” Cuadrante said.
At the event, UnionBank will unveil its first-ever UB Negosyante Christmas Village, a vibrant marketplace spotlighting local merchants using QRPH-powered digital payments for seamless transactions. The Christmas Village invites visitors to experience UnionBank’s NextGen banking in action—offering a convenient “scan to pay” shopping experience while supporting homegrown small businesses during the holiday season.

“This is the first time UnionBank is launching the UB Negosyante Christmas Village, and we’re honored that they chose BRAND CON as the venue,” said BRAND CON Founder and Chairman Bingo Soriano. “Nearly every merchant here is a Filipino SME. It’s an inspiring showcase of innovation, creativity, and the Filipino entrepreneurial spirit.”
UnionBank will also feature its suite of SME-centered products designed to make banking simpler and growth more achievable. The UnionBank BizStarter Account allows entrepreneurs to open an account with only a Php 5,000 initial deposit, while the UB Negosyante App serves as an all-in-one business management platform that enables users to disburse funds, collect payments, and generate QRPH codes. For scaling enterprises, UnionBank’s Business Line provides up to Php 10 million in revolving credit to support expansion and operations.
Beyond banking, BRAND CON 2025 offers an enriching learning experience with keynote sessions from some of the country’s most admired entrepreneurs, including Mary Grace Dimacali of Mary Grace Café and Paco Magsaysay of Carmen’s Best, alongside international branding authority Laura Ries, author of Visual Hammer and The Strategic Enemy. The three-day event also includes workshops, networking opportunities, and a brand museum celebrating the evolution of Philippine brands.
“Our vision goes beyond banking,” Cuadrante added. “We aim to nurture an ecosystem where Filipino SMEs can access knowledge, technology, and partnerships that inspire real growth. BRAND CON is the perfect platform to make that happen.”
With UnionBank’s innovative digital tools and BRAND CON’s focus on brand transformation, the 2025 convention promises to be a milestone gathering for the country’s entrepreneurs—merging financial empowerment, brand mastery, and community collaboration under one roof.
