UnionBank of the Philippines, in partnership with GMG Productions, once again raises the bar for live entertainment in Manila with the arrival of Les Misérables: World Tour Spectacular, a globally celebrated reimagining of the iconic musical in an electrifying concert format.

The production underscores UnionBank’s commitment to offering its customers access to world-class cultural experiences that go beyond traditional banking.

As official sponsor, UnionBank marked the show’s Gala Night at The Theatre at Solaire with an evening that blended star power, spectacle, and storytelling. The celebration was led by international Broadway icon and Tony Award winner Lea Salonga, joined by acclaimed performers Rachelle Ann Go and Red Concepcion.

Salonga and Concepcion take on the roles of the Thénardier couple, while Go reprises her lauded West End portrayal of Fantine, anchoring the production with performances that resonate deeply with Filipino audiences.

Featuring a powerhouse cast of 110 Filipino and international performers, Les Misérables: World Tour Spectacular delivers a stirring interpretation of Victor Hugo’s timeless tale.

Sweeping orchestral arrangements, soaring vocals, and dramatic lighting converge to create an emotionally charged experience that reintroduces the classic story of love, sacrifice, and resilience to a new generation of theatergoers.

The production marks UnionBank’s 10th collaboration with GMG Productions, reflecting a long-standing partnership that has consistently brought award-winning theater to the Philippines.

Previous collaborations, including Hamilton, Miss Saigon, and Dear Evan Hansen, have helped elevate Manila’s place on the global theater map, aligning with UnionBank’s vision of NextGen banking that enriches lives and connects communities through shared experiences.

UnionBank cardholders enjoyed exclusive privileges for the now sold-out Les Misérables: World Tour Spectacular. Ahead of public ticket sales in August 2025, cardholders were granted priority pre-sale access, allowing them to secure premium seats before anyone else, along with a 10 percent savings. These benefits proved especially valuable for what became one of the most sought-after theater events of the 2026 season.

“Our partnership with GMG has allowed us to provide our valued customers with memorable experiences through productions that elevate Manila’s entertainment landscape,” said Ana Delgado, chief executive officer of UnionBank. “We look forward to continuing this collaboration and co-creating occasions that delight our current and future cardholders.”

Les Misérables: World Tour Spectacular also opens UnionBank’s 2026 season of curated entertainment experiences. The year’s lineup continues with Jesus Christ Superstar in May 2026 and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: The New Musical in July 2026, giving clients early access and exclusive perks to some of the most anticipated international productions.

Les Misérables: World Tour Spectacular Manila runs until March 1, 2026. Updates on upcoming shows, exclusive offers, and cardholder privileges are available through UnionBank and GMG Productions’ official channels. UnionBank of the Philippines is regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, and deposits are insured by PDIC up to ₱1,000,000 per depositor.
