Two alumni of Universidad de Manila delivered pride to the country after securing bronze medals at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games held in Thailand.
Jason Baucas, a Bachelor of Physical Education graduate from the Class of 2019, earned a bronze medal in Wrestling, Greco-Roman Men’s 77kg, showcasing grit and strength against the region’s best competitors. Fellow UDM alumnus Bryn Quillotes, from the Class of 2014, also stood on the podium after winning bronze in Nage-No-Kata, highlighting precision, discipline, and technical mastery.
Their achievements underscore the value of perseverance, rigorous training, and the strong foundation provided by the university in both academics and sports development. Once again, the Iskolar ng Bayan proved that UDM athletes are capable of competing—and excelling—on the international stage, bringing honor not only to their alma mater but to the Philippines as a whole.
