The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Typhoon In-fa remains unlikely to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) as the northeast monsoon, or amihan, continues to affect Northern Luzon.
In its 5 a.m. weather advisory, PAGASA reported that In-fa was located 2,175 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon and remains under monitoring.
The weather bureau said the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized weather disturbances.
PAGASA also forecast light to moderate winds blowing from the northeast to east across the country, with slight to moderate coastal waters.
The weather bureau continues to monitor In-fa’s movement and advised the public to stay updated on the latest weather advisories.
