Anti-drug operatives arrested two high-value individuals (HVIs) and seized approximately PHP700 million worth of suspected shabu in Bulacan, according to the Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) on Sunday.
PDEG chief Brig. Gen. Edwin Quilates reported that the suspects, both Chinese nationals identified as alias Ry, 40, and Loan, 55, were apprehended in Barangay Bulihan, Plaridel on Saturday. The anti-drug agents confiscated around 103 kilograms of shabu, valued at an estimated PHP700.4 million, along with other non-drug evidence.
The suspects were taken to the PDEG Special Operations Unit-National Capital Region office for documentation and proper disposition. The confiscated drugs will be submitted to the forensic group for laboratory examination.
Quilates urged anti-drug operatives to maintain the highest standards of service, integrity, and excellence. “Your accomplishment inspires the entire police force and reinforces our resolve in the campaign against illegal drugs,” he stated.
