A truck tipped over onto its side while traveling northbound on the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in Meycauayan City, Bulacan, around 6:00 a.m. on Monday.
An X (formerly Twitter) post made by a GMA News reporter showed the condition of the truck.
By 6:45 a.m., it was reported that the tail end of the traffic had reached Valenzuela City.
“Paliko po kasi ‘yun. Baka kung maaaring mabigat siya, na-out of balance din ang truck,” said Robin Ignacio, senior manager of NLEX Traffic Operations.
“Nagkaroon din po ng pagpila dito sa southbound,” he added, referring to the vehicles in the southbound lanes.
The traffic was cleared by around 8:30 a.m., according to an NLEX announcement, stating that all lanes had been reopened.
The truck had been carrying boxes, which scattered onto other lanes, leaving vehicles with only one lane to use.
