Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has officially launched the all-new Toyota Hilux, ushering in the ninth generation of one of the country’s most iconic pickup trucks with a bolder design, upgraded technology, and, for the first time, a fully electric 4×4 Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) variant. Retail sales began on July 21.
Built on Toyota’s reputation for quality, durability, and reliability, the latest Hilux lineup combines rugged off-road capability with enhanced comfort and modern features designed for both work and adventure. The expanded range offers diesel-powered variants alongside an electrified option, reflecting Toyota’s multi-pathway strategy toward sustainable mobility.
The all-new Hilux adopts Toyota’s striking “Cyber Sumo” design philosophy, blending the pickup’s legendary toughness with sharper and more sophisticated styling. It features C-shaped LED headlamps, a wider honeycomb grille, redesigned rear lighting, and an integrated deck-side step for easier access to the cargo bed. Higher-end variants such as the Conquest receive exclusive styling enhancements aimed at outdoor enthusiasts, while the Hilux BEV distinguishes itself with a sleek enclosed grille designed to improve aerodynamics.

Inside, Toyota has given the Hilux a more refined and driver-focused cabin. Premium variants come equipped with a 12.3-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while select models offer upgraded materials, synthetic leather seats, power-adjustable driver’s seats, wireless charging, and a panoramic view monitor. The flagship Conquest and the BEV variant offer SUV-like comfort and convenience features rarely seen in pickup trucks.
Under the hood, all diesel variants are powered by Toyota’s proven 2.8-liter 1GD-FTV turbo diesel engine, producing 204 PS. Torque figures reach up to 500 Nm for automatic transmission models, ensuring impressive towing and hauling capabilities. Toyota has also introduced Electric Power Steering for the V and Conquest variants to improve maneuverability and on-road comfort.
The Hilux Conquest further enhances its off-road credentials with Multi-Terrain Select modes for Dirt, Rock, Sand, Mogul, and Mud, along with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, seven airbags, an Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold, and a Panoramic View Monitor.
Taking center stage in the new lineup is the Hilux 2.8 4×4 BEV—the nameplate’s first fully electric variant. Designed specifically for electric mobility, it features a dedicated ladder-frame chassis engineered to protect its high-voltage battery while maintaining the Hilux’s renowned durability and off-road capability. Its dual-motor setup produces a combined 196 PS and delivers permanent electric all-wheel drive for enhanced traction across various terrains. The 59.2-kWh lithium-ion battery offers up to 315 kilometers of driving range under the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).
Toyota is also making EV ownership more convenient by including a complimentary wall charger with home installation for Hilux BEV buyers. Charging is supported through both AC Type 2 and DC CCS2 fast charging standards, while a growing network of Toyota dealerships nationwide is equipped with EV charging facilities and specialized support services.
Pricing for the all-new Hilux starts at ₱1.772 million for diesel-powered variants, while the Hilux 2.8 4×4 BEV is priced at ₱2.99 million. Customers can choose from a variety of exterior colors depending on the variant, with the BEV offered exclusively in Platinum White Pearl Mica.
To celebrate the launch of the all-new Hilux, Toyota will host the Toyota Legacy Experience from July 31 to August 2 at Eton City Square Village Walk in Santa Rosa, Laguna. The event will showcase Toyota’s iconic 4×4 heritage through heritage vehicle displays, off-road test drives, customized builds, and interactive exhibits highlighting Toyota’s evolving mobility technologies.
With its blend of legendary toughness, modern technology, and electrified innovation, the all-new Toyota Hilux is poised to redefine what Filipino pickup buyers can expect from one of the country’s most trusted nameplates.
