Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has revealed the 40 fastest sim racers who will be battling it out in the quarterfinals of the 2025 TOYOTA GAZOO Racing (TGR) eSports GT Championship, the country’s premier sim racing tournament.
More than 250 players nationwide joined the qualifying rounds, racing on the Gran Turismo 7 Suzuka East Short Course behind the wheel of the Toyota Supra RZ ’20. From this highly competitive field, only the Top 40 clocked in fast enough to earn a spot in the live quarterfinals happening on October 11 at Ayala Malls Manila Bay.
Among those leading the charge are Enzo Ison (0:56.272), Matthew Spencer D. Ang (0:56.352), Victor Lorenzo Ancheta (0:56.442), Corwin Josiah Mercado (0:56.467), and Russo Gabriel Formoso (0:56.564). Other notable contenders include Jether Miole, Jon Steven Chua, Michael Vincent Velasquez, James Talanay, and Bien Matthew Buenaventura, along with rising female driver Elizabeth Mae Gumila.
The complete list showcases just how tight the competition is, with lap times separated by only fractions of a second—proof of the growing talent pool in Philippine sim racing.
Road to the finals
The Top 20 finishers from the quarterfinals will move on to the semifinals on October 12. Later that day, the Top 10 will face off in the national finals, where the best of the best will earn the right to represent the Philippines in the TGR Asia eSports GT Championship.
More than just racing
Fans attending the live event can expect more than heart-stopping races. The venue will feature sim racing rigs, interactive game booths, and official GR merchandise. Toyota will also showcase its lineup of performance and race-bred vehicles, including the GR Yaris, GR Supra, GR 86, and the Vios and Tamaraw one-make-race cars used in the 2025 TGR Philippine Cup.

“We congratulate the sim racers who made it to the quarterfinals and look forward to seeing them push their limits at Ayala Malls Manila Bay. We invite everyone to come and experience the thrilling world of eSports with us this October,” said TMP Vice President for Marketing Services Elvin Luciano.
