Three weather systems expected to bring rain across parts of the PH

Three weather systems are expected to bring rains to several parts of the Philippines on Saturday, November 7, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said the shear line, easterlies, and northeast monsoon or amihan will affect weather conditions across the country.

The shear line is forecast to bring cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rains and thunderstorms over Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte.

Meanwhile, the easterlies will cause similar weather conditions over Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Caraga, the rest of the Bicol Region, Marinduque, Romblon, Misamis Oriental, Camiguin, and Davao Oriental.

The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Ifugao.

The Ilocos Region, the rest of Central Luzon, and the remaining areas of the Cordillera Administrative Region will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the amihan.

Metro Manila and other parts of the country can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by the easterlies.

PAGASA also warned of moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas over Northern Luzon. The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.

Meanwhile, the state weather bureau continues to monitor a tropical depression outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

As of 3 a.m., the weather disturbance was located approximately 2,540 kilometers east of Northern Luzon, with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour (kph) and gusts reaching 70 kph.

The tropical depression was moving west-northwestward at 30 kph.

PAGASA said the weather system has a low probability of entering PAR and is not expected to make landfall.
