Ayala Malls Cinemas, which recently brought exclusively to Philippine cinemas Oscar winners Anora, The Brutalist and A Real Pain, brings to the big screen another new, exclusive and timely must-watch this season – The Unbreakable Boy.
Starring Zachary Levi (Shazam!), Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus) and Patricia Heaton (“Everybody Loves Raymond”), The Unbreakable Boy is based on the book The Unbreakable Boy: A Father’s Fear, a Son’s Courage, and a Story of Unconditional Love, which was in turn based on a true story. It opens exclusively in Ayala Malls Cinemas on March 26.

When his parents, Scott (Levi) and Teresa (Fahy), learn that Austin (Jacob Laval) is both autistic and has brittle bone disease, they initially worry for their son’s future. But with Scott’s growing faith and Austin’s incredible spirit, they become “unbreakable,” finding joy, gratitude, and courage even in the most trying times – an extraordinary true story about a father and son learning together that every day can be the best day of your life.
The Unbreakable Boy is directed by Jon Gunn, whose filmography includes beloved feel-good dramas, including faith-based films.

The Independent Critic praised the direction of Gunn. “The Unbreakable Boy is yet another winner from Jon Gunn, easily one of the most authentic and gifted faith-based and faith-inspired filmmakers working today. With this film, he captures a story worthy of being told and told well. Gunn delivers and my guess is that both faith-based and secular audiences will love it.”
