TESDA partners with GCash to expand access to online courses

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has partnered with GCash to boost the visibility and accessibility of its online courses through the TESDA Online Program (TOP).

Under the new partnership announced Thursday, GCash users can now access the TOP website via the GJobs icon in the GCash app. This aims to help more Filipinos discover TESDA’s free courses and connect them to potential job opportunities.

“Through the partnership, learners will be able to access industry-relevant courses and effortlessly explore employment opportunities via GJobs, powered by PasaJob. By linking skills development with job accessibility, this collaboration will help Filipinos move efficiently from education to workforce readiness, supporting their long-term career growth,” TESDA said.

Leonardo Ferdinand Byron Perez, vice president and head of Innovations at G-Xchange Inc., said, “By integrating TESDA’s programs within the GCash platform, we are empowering individuals with the tools they need to build financial independence and secure meaningful job opportunities in the digital economy.”

TESDA and GCash also plan to hold consultative meetings to explore how financial technology can further enhance the TOP and digital learning experience.

“Through this collaboration with GCash, we can reach more Filipinos and equip them with the industry-relevant skills and opportunities they need to succeed in today’s evolving job market,” said TESDA Secretary Francisco Benitez.

TESDA’s Online Program currently offers 187 free courses, accessible at e-tesda.gov.ph.
