After years of being the target of salacious online gossip, the actress is now hunting down the people behind fake websites and vloggers spreading malicious rumors about her and her three daughters.
In a fiery post on social media, Sunshine exposed screenshots of fabricated stories accusing her family of everything from domestic violence to pregnancy scandals — even claiming one of her daughters was supposedly expecting a child with her partner, businessman Atong Ang.
“My children and I have been supposedly pregnant, murdered, beaten, arrested, and even secretly own a mansion in a posh village,” she wrote. “It’s shocking how easily people believe such nonsense. No to #fakenews.”
According to Sunshine, her legal team led by Atty. Bonito Alentajan is now tracing the individuals behind these defamatory posts. “It isn’t easy because they use pseudo names,” she said. “For now, I’m posting these fake news articles for awareness.”
The actress’s post has since gone viral, drawing both sympathy and criticism from netizens. One fan commented, “That’s the price of being famous — people create lies just to get views. The more absurd, the faster it spreads.” Sunshine responded with a simple heart and praying hands emoji.
But not everyone was sympathetic. Another commenter accused her of enjoying the publicity, saying, “They like being talked about, otherwise they’ll fade into obscurity. If you’re really affected, file a case!”
Sunshine fired back: “Don’t generalize all artists. My lawyer is already looking into it. It’s not easy because of fake names, but we’re taking action. I’m posting this to raise awareness.”
This isn’t the first time Sunshine has clapped back at online trolls, but this latest round has clearly crossed a line. The actress, known for her grace and calm demeanor, now seems determined to fight misinformation head-on — even if it means dragging the shadowy corners of gossip media into the light.
