STO. TOMAS CITY, Batangas — Mayor Arth Jhun Aguilar Marasigan inspected public and private cemeteries across the city on Sunday, November 1, to assess security preparations and ensure a safe and orderly observance of Undas 2026.

Marasigan conducted the early morning inspections as families began visiting cemeteries to pay their respects to departed loved ones during All Saints’ Day.

The city government intensified traffic management, sanitation, and security measures, particularly at public cemeteries in Barangays Poblacion and San Joaquin, where visitors continued to arrive.

Public assistance desks were also established at strategic locations to address inquiries, provide assistance, and respond to emergencies involving cemetery visitors.

The inspections formed part of the local government’s preparations to maintain peace and order and ensure the smooth movement of people and vehicles throughout the holiday observance.

Meanwhile, the city government reminded visitors to remain vigilant, follow safety regulations, and dispose of their waste properly to help prevent accidents and maintain cleanliness.

Local authorities also encouraged residents to cooperate with personnel deployed at cemeteries and other public areas to ensure a peaceful and meaningful Undas commemoration.
