Police arrested four individuals and seized approximately P1.7 million worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Taguig City on Tuesday night.
The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspects as “Roko,” 43; “Daud,” 49; “Nasrudin,” 41; and “Ana,” 21. Authorities have classified all four as “high-value targets” in the illegal drug trade.
According to a report from the Taguig City Police, the operation took place at around 9:50 p.m. on August 12. During the sting, undercover officers recovered approximately 250 grams of a white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu.
The confiscated narcotics have an estimated street value of P1,700,000.
The suspects are currently in police custody and will face charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The case is set to be filed before the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office.
The operation follows a series of intensified anti-narcotics campaigns across the Southern Metro Manila area as the SPD continues to target large-scale distributors in the region.
