For a small entrepreneur, knowing how to manage money is one thing. Finding the capital to restock shelves, expand an online store or serve more customers is another.
Cebuana Lhuillier’s financial education initiative, Money Guro, is seeking to bridge that gap with the launch of Money Guro Loans, extending its role from teaching financial skills to providing financing for Filipino entrepreneurs.
Led by Cebuana Lhuillier President and CEO Jean Henri Lhuillier, the initiative aims to help business owners put financial knowledge into practice through loans tailored to the needs of small enterprises.
“Financial literacy is only meaningful when it empowers people to act. With Money Guro Loans, we are giving Filipino entrepreneurs the means to turn knowledge into opportunity, to grow their businesses, and to strengthen their communities. This is the next chapter of our commitment to financial inclusion,” Lhuillier said.
The program offers four financing options, each focused on a specific business segment.
For small retailers preparing for the Christmas shopping rush, the MerryBiz Loan provides funds for inventory and supplies. The ClickStart Loan caters to online sellers looking to expand their digital storefronts.
Women entrepreneurs in beauty and personal care can access the SheGlows Loan, while the FoodTrip Loan serves home-based food sellers, bakers, food carts and carinderias that need additional working capital.
Loan amounts range from ₱5,000 to ₱20,000, with repayment terms of three to six months. Applications are processed online, while approved loans are disbursed and repaid through Cebuana Lhuillier branches.
The financing addresses practical needs that can shape a small business’s next move—buying ingredients, replenishing merchandise or preparing for stronger seasonal demand.
By pairing financial education with access to capital, Money Guro is bringing its lessons closer to entrepreneurs’ daily decisions. The expansion gives business owners another resource to act on opportunities, with borrowing decisions guided by the money management skills the platform promotes.
