More than 1.56 million minimum wage earners in CALABARZON are expected to benefit from a daily wage increase of up to Php 45 starting October 26, 2026.
The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) IV-A approved the adjustment under Wage Order No. IVA-23, providing eligible workers with an additional income of up to Php 1,170 per month.
The new wage rates will vary depending on industry sector and municipality classification across Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon.
The wage board and the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC), composed of representatives from labor, employers, and government, approved the adjustment following a review of regional socioeconomic conditions.
The decision was made in accordance with Republic Act 6727, or the Wage Rationalization Act, which governs regional minimum wage adjustments.
According to the NWPC, the increase is expected to benefit more than 1.56 million minimum wage earners in the region.
Labor Secretary Francis Tolentino said the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), through its CALABARZON regional office, would closely monitor the implementation of the new rates to ensure compliance among employers.
The specific wage adjustments for each sector and municipality classification are detailed in the official wage order.
