Sparkle artist Skye Chua will represent the Philippines at the 2025 FISU Winter World University Games in Turin, Italy, marking a historic achievement for both the University of the Philippines and the country.
Chua, a national figure skater and student at the university, will be the first from her school to compete in the Winter Universiade. She will also serve as the Philippines’ flag bearer at the prestigious event.
Chua, who placed third at the SEA Open Figure Skating Trophy in July last year, has made a name for herself in both sports and entertainment.
The Sparkle artist also stars in the GMA Prime series “Pulang Araw,” where she plays the role of a Japanese character, Yuki. Additionally, she appeared in “Hearts on Ice,” a figure skating drama alongside Ashley Ortega and Xian Lim.
