Shell Pilipinas Corp. reported a ₱2.5-billion net income in the third quarter, driven by improved operational performance and higher sales of premium fuel products.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, the oil firm said the profit reflected stronger margins from its mobility and lubricants businesses, as well as gains from cost efficiency measures.
Shell said it continued to focus on its “Defend, Grow, Deliver” strategy, which aims to strengthen its core fuel business while expanding non-fuel retail operations and mobility solutions.
“Despite the volatile oil market, our performance shows the company’s resilience and ability to adapt to changing market conditions,” the company said in a statement.
Shell added that non-fuel retail sales, including convenience store offerings and fleet solutions, contributed to the growth. It said it would continue investing in its mobility network and digital platforms to enhance customer experience.
The company also cited disciplined capital spending and supply-chain efficiencies as key factors behind the improved bottom line.
