Three weather systems, including a shear line, the northeast monsoon, and the easterlies, will continue to bring rain across many parts of the country, the state weather bureau reported Saturday.
In its 4 a.m. advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) stated that the shear line will cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over the Visayas, Palawan, and several provinces in the Bicol region, including Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, and Masbate.
The northeast monsoon, or amihan, is expected to bring cloudy skies and rains to the Cordillera region, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, and the remaining areas of Mimaropa and Bicol. This same system will also bring light rains and cloudy conditions to Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon.
Meanwhile, the easterlies will affect Mindanao, leading to cloudy skies accompanied by light rains and thunderstorms.
Marine conditions remain hazardous in several areas, with PAGASA warning of strong to gale-force winds and rough to very rough seas over Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, and the Visayas.
Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas are expected across the rest of Luzon and the Visayas. Mindanao is forecast to experience light to moderate winds with slight to moderate sea conditions.
