
SAN JOSE, Antique — The Antique Provincial Police Office received 12 new patrol cars and IT equipment (computers) from the National Police Office during the recent turnover ceremony held in the municipality.
Antique Police Provincial Director Colonel Lea Rose Peña led, the turnover ceremony attended by representatives from the recipient stations and local officials present.
Peña said that the new patrol vehicles were part of efforts to strengthen police mobility and support anti-crime operations in the province.
She noted that the additional patrol cars would help enhance police presence and improve response times in local communities.
In a media interview, Peña emphasized that the priority thrusts of the present leadership of PLtGen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. is to provide all local police stations with IT equipment and mobile patrol cars.
PNP, however, enjoined the support of local officials in the maintenance and operating expenses of their respective PNP stations to ensure the utmost functionality of the equipment.
The patrol cars were distributed to 11 municipal police stations, such as Barbaza, Belison, Bugasong, Caluya, Hamtic, Patnongon, Sebaste, Sibalom, Tibiao, Tobias Fornier, and Valderrama, as well as to the 2nd Mobile Force Company.
Alongside the vehicles, the units received 19 computers and one laptop to support administrative and operational tasks.
Police officials said the new equipment would boost the capacity of local stations to serve their communities more effectively, contributing to peace and order in the province.

The patrol cars were received by the Chief of Police and the municipal mayors or their representatives. (PIA)
