While fans know SB19’s Josh Cullen as a trailblazer in the P-pop scene, few may realize that behind the fame is a man yearning for simplicity, healing, and unconditional love. In the latest episode of SB19’s Time First podcast, Josh offered a rare glimpse into his personal aspirations—particularly his dreams of building a peaceful, grounded family life far from the spotlight.

Now on its 10th episode and streaming exclusively on Spotify, Time First features candid conversations among SB19 members. In this particular episode, the conversation took a deeply personal turn as Josh reflected on his upbringing, career motivations, and vision for the kind of father he hopes to become.

A childhood that fueled his drive
Josh revealed that being raised by a solo parent shaped not only his work ethic but also his deepest desires. “Everything—from food to peace of mind—was something I had to fight for,” he shared. “That’s why I work so hard now. I don’t want my future kids to inherit the stress I had to carry.”

More than financial security, Josh emphasized emotional safety and freedom from trauma as his goals for his future family. “I want to raise a child who doesn’t have to experience manipulation, emotional struggles, or the constant pressure to prove something,” he said.

No legacy pressures—just love and freedom
When asked how he would parent a future child, Josh was firm: he has no intention of forcing them to walk in his footsteps. “I’ll teach them what I know, of course. But if they want to go in a completely different direction, I’ll support that fully,” he explained. “I just want them to be content, without the weight of pressure or expectations.”

For Josh, true success isn’t found onstage, but in raising a family built on respect, trust, and emotional well-being. “My dream is to have a normal family life—one filled with love, not obligations.”

Making time to heal
Beyond his dreams of fatherhood, Josh also touched on his ongoing battle with emotional exhaustion and the importance of mental health. He admitted that while he’s open to therapy, the demands of work often leave little time for personal healing.

“There’s a lot I want to unpack, but with everything going on, it’s hard to find the time,” he said. “People ask me if I’m happy—I am, for the most part. But when you’re alone, things can hit you. Sometimes, all you can do is cry and then move on. That’s life, and I know I’m not the only one going through it.”

A man ready for his next chapter
More than a performer, Josh Cullen is emerging as a symbol of emotional awareness and grounded ambition. His words remind fans that beyond the glitz of showbiz is a young man who simply wants to give his future family what he never had: peace, normalcy, and the freedom to just be.

As he continues to rise in the industry, Josh isn’t just preparing for his next stage performance—he’s also laying the emotional groundwork for a life defined not by fame, but by love.
