Salmon Bank (Rural Bank) Inc. is raising the bar for local savers with the launch of “Bank on Eight,” a time-bound promotional offer that delivers an 8 percent annual interest rate on time deposits.
Running from December 1, 2025 to June 1, 2026, the promo is open to clients who place at least P1 million in a time deposit for a minimum term of one year. The offer positions Salmon Bank among the most competitive players in the Philippine deposit market at a time when Filipinos are increasingly seeking higher-yield, secure savings options.
The new promo comes on the back of strong momentum across the bank’s lending and deposit businesses. Salmon Bank cited steady customer inflows and notable gains in operational efficiency, largely driven by its technology-led banking model, as key factors that enabled the rollout of the high-interest offer.
By introducing Bank on Eight, the bank underscores its commitment to giving Filipinos greater value for their savings while maintaining a modern and reliable banking experience.
“Bank on Eight gives every Filipino saver access to one of the highest interest rates in the market, allowing them to grow their money in a secure way,” said Raffy Montemayor, co-founder of Salmon and chairman of Salmon Bank. “We’ve experienced rapid growth this year with the support of our customers. As our business scales, we are committed to passing on the benefits of our efficiency back to Filipinos.”
Montemayor added that the promo reflects how disciplined growth and technology-driven operations can translate into tangible gains for customers, without compromising the bank’s financial fundamentals. “This is a clear example of how responsible expansion allows us to offer comparatively high returns while maintaining strong liquidity, capital, and risk standards,” he said.
Interested customers may open a Salmon Bank account online by completing the application form available on the bank’s website, or visit any Salmon Bank branch in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, or Bacoor, Cavite for in-person assistance. More details about the promo are also available on the Salmon Bank website.
