Sabrina Carpenter’s Austin City Limits performance turned into a pop-culture fever dream when she shared an unexpected onstage moment with musician and actor Joe Keery — known to fans worldwide as Steve Harrington from Stranger Things.

What began as another confident “Juno” performance quickly escalated into a viral spectacle when Carpenter, ever the queen of theatrics, acted out one of her cheekiest lyrics — “Wanna try out my fuzzy pink handcuffs?” — by mock-arresting Djo, Keery’s music alter ego, right in front of thousands of screaming fans.

The crowd erupted as the two artists exchanged playful smiles, their chemistry radiating beyond the stage lights. Within minutes, clips of the moment dominated social media feeds under the hashtag #DjoOfMyDreams, sparking fan theories about a possible collaboration — or something more.

After the show, Carpenter took to Instagram to reflect on the night: “Crowd of my dreams. Shania of my dreams. Djo of my dreams. What a perfect night. Thank you all so much for coming out and singing loudly just how I like it.”

Her reference to country icon Shania Twain, who also performed at the festival, added another layer of nostalgia and star power to the evening.

While both Carpenter and Keery are busy with their respective careers — she with her skyrocketing Short n’ Sweet era and he with his Djo tour — fans are now manifesting a crossover of music and movie worlds that no one saw coming.

In a night packed with charisma, humor, and a hint of mischief, Sabrina didn’t just give fans a performance; she gave them a pop-culture moment destined for the 2025 highlight reel.
