Former Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. on Wednesday personally filed his counter-affidavit before the Department of Justice (DOJ) in response to a complaint linking him to an alleged ghost flood control project in Bulacan.

His spokesperson, Atty. Francesca Lourdes Señga, said the complaint accuses Revilla of violating the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.

She added that Revilla is hopeful the DOJ will act fairly on the matter.

Prosecutor General Richard “Dong” Fadullon earlier said Revilla and former Ako Bicol Rep. Zaldy Co were included as respondents in complaints tied to flood control projects in Bulacan.

Revilla was specifically added to the case involving SYMS Construction, according to the DOJ.

He has since denied any involvement, calling himself an “easy target being used to muddle the truth.”
