Tiktok, the brave aspin rescued from Murcia, Negros Occidental after being stabbed with multiple arrows, has tragically died after being hit by a car while in foster care. Bacolod-based animal welfare group BACH Project PH confirmed her passing on Sunday, calling it “one of the greatest heartbreaks” they have faced.
“As rescuers, we carry so much guilt when tragedies like this happen, even when we know we did our best. She was supposed to be safe. She was supposed to have more time. The ‘what ifs’ are endless, and the pain of losing her is unbearable,” BACH said.
The group explained that Tiktok “slipped out, ran, and was hit by a car.” She was placed in foster care to protect her amid a distemper outbreak at the shelter. Despite being surrounded by love and comfort, “fate dealt a cruel hand,” BACH added.
The group is asking for compassion and understanding during this difficult time. What was meant to be a month of celebration for their 6th anniversary has turned into mourning due to multiple losses from disease outbreaks and now Tiktok’s death.
“Instead of blame, may we honor Tiktok’s memory with love because that’s all she gave, and that’s what she deserves,” BACH expressed.
The identity of the driver who hit Tiktok remains unknown. BACH urged the public to avoid assumptions and blame, promising an official update once details are confirmed.
Tiktok first gained public attention after her rescue with five arrows embedded in her body. BACH cared for her until she fully healed. In August 2025, a photo of Tiktok smiling at the Athlerun Pawtection Run touched many hearts.
As a tribute, BACH shared arts and poems in her memory. Tiktok’s body will be at Green Meadows Pet Aftercare in Negros on Monday, September 8, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. before cremation.
