MANILA – The rehabilitation works on the northbound lane of C5 Boni Serrano Flyover in Quezon City started on Saturday.

In a social media post, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said the works started Oct. 31 midnight, in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to make major roads and bridges safer for motorists.

Steel grating was installed to reuse the previously closed inlet as a line canal, and the reflectorized delineators were cleaned and painted.

The DPWH will also conduct asphalt patching, lane marking and painting of fences, and add delineators in the coming days.

The rehabilitation is expected to be completed and the bridge will be reopened to traffic at 5 a.m. on Nov. 3 when work and classes resume after the Undas (All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days) break. (Ferdinand Patinio/PNA)
