In response to the ongoing inclement weather and resulting transportation disruptions, the Quezon City Government announced that operations of the Q City Bus will continue — offering free rides to commuters across the city.
To address the growing number of stranded passengers, the local government is deploying additional Q City Buses across all routes. This move aims to ease the burden on commuters struggling to get home due to heavy rains and limited public transportation.
The city’s Traffic and Transport Management Department (TTMD) has also mobilized more traffic enforcers to assist in bus deployment and guide passengers safely to their destinations. The personnel will be stationed along major roads and terminals to ensure smooth boarding and proper traffic flow.
“We are committed to making sure our residents get home safely and comfortably despite the challenging weather,” said Mayor Joy Belmonte. “This is part of our continuing effort to provide responsive and compassionate public service, especially during times of need.”
The Q City Bus program, known for offering free transportation services to Quezon City residents, plays a vital role during emergencies and weather-related disruptions.
