US president Donald Trump has appeared to doze up during a Cabinet meeting.

WASHINGTON D. C., — While secretary of state Marco Rubio delivered a foreign policy update to his right, reports said United States president Donald Trump’s eyes fluttered and eventually closed for a few seconds, triggering questions about his current health from wary observers.

It is unclear if Trump actually fell asleep during the latest Cabinet meeting but the US president did appear drowsy and disoriented as Rubio discussed the updates of policies undertaken by Washington.

It was Trump’s latest public appearance and his apparent disposition hinted on  deteriorating health which gave his rivals opportunity to mock the President and claim he is in “poor physical condition.”

But loyalists have pointed out that speculations about the 79-year-old president’s bad health have circulated for a long time and despite these, Trump had proven them wrong with his continuous activities and official functions.

The Republican president’s fitness have actually turned sharp in recent months after a number of sleepy episodes on camera and bruising on his hand. Concerns are quickly brushed aside even when the right side of Trump’s face drooped down at a Pentagon commemoration that triggered rumors he suffered a stroke.

Still, recent appearance where Trump manifested drowsiness have prompted critics to scrutinize his health, thus undermining the energetic persona he promotes through his relentless social media operation and several press conferences.

A New York Times report that catalogued his health provoked fury and in a lengthy 500-word Truth Social post, Trump insisted that not anyone of his predecessor had ever “worked as hard” as he has done since his reelection.

“My hours are the longest and my results are among the best. I go out of my way to do long, thorough and very boring examinations . . . Some (doctors) have even said they have never seen such strong results,” he reacted to the report as he accused the newspaper of (being)” seditious . . . and perhaps, even treasonous.”

Doubts about the president’s health reached fever pitch last September when rumors swirled online that he had died and been replaced by Vice President JD Vance who had days earlier enthused he was ready to take over the presidency if needed.

But this was quickly squashed when Trump appeared for a round of golf.
