Three individuals were arrested and over Php 5.5 million worth of fuel products and equipment were seized in an anti-illegal petroleum operation in Bauan, Batangas.

The operation was carried out by the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.

Investigators said the group was allegedly involved in the unauthorized transfer and storage of petroleum products.

Seized from the site were a tanker truck containing about 20,000 liters of fuel, containers of diesel and gasoline, and various tools used in the suspected operation.

The total value of the confiscated items was estimated at Php 5,534,000.
