The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested 11 wanted persons in a series of manhunt operations conducted from Aug. 1 to 5 in Quezon City and nearby areas.
Among those arrested was a 33-year-old man listed as the No. 10 regional most wanted person of Maragao Municipal Police Station in Camarines Sur. He was apprehended in Project 6, Quezon City, over a pending warrant for violation of the Anti-Carnapping Act.
Police also served warrants on two detainees at the Bulacan Provincial Jail who were listed among the most wanted persons of Malolos City. Both were facing robbery charges.
In Quezon City, separate operations led to the arrest of a homicide suspect in Kaunlaran and a robbery suspect in East Kamias.
Kamuning police also served a warrant on a detainee facing a drug-related case and arrested another suspect in Batasan Hills for qualified rape through sexual assault.
Other operations resulted in arrests for drug-related offenses and estafa in Trece Martires, Payatas, Pasong Tamo and Caloocan City.
The QCPD said the operations involved coordination among several police stations, local police units and detention facilities.
Authorities said the courts that issued the warrants would be notified of the arrests.
QCPD chief Brig. Gen. Randy Glenn Silvio urged the public to continue reporting information that could help police locate other wanted persons.
