Police on Thursday arrested the suspect in the fatal shooting of two security guards inside a car dealership on Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said.
“Yes po, arrested na po siya kanina. Sa Tondo po,” NCRPO spokesperson Police Major Hazel Asilo confirmed.
Authorities said the suspect reportedly held grudges against the victims over work-related issues. CCTV footage showed him shooting his two co-workers at close range inside the establishment in Barangay North Fairview at around 2:10 p.m.
Police and witnesses said the victims were asleep when they were shot, and the suspect fled the scene in a taxi before being taken into custody.
During police interrogation, the suspect allegedly admitted to the killings and claimed he had been bullied by the victims.
Investigators said the suspect had earlier asked an employee of another car dealership to help him kill the two guards.
Other witnesses told police the suspect had previously spoken about wanting to kill someone and seeking help to do it, but the remarks were not taken seriously.
