POCO is kicking off the year with a major upgrade to its fan-favorite M Series, officially introducing the POCO M8 5G and POCO M8 Pro 5G. The new lineup marks the M Series’ bold evolution into the mid-range segment, packing flagship-inspired 5G entertainment features into devices built for everyday users who want more power, more immersion, and more value.

Following the brand’s move into the premium category with the F Series, POCO is now doubling down on its mission to bring high-performance experiences to a wider audience.

According to Kang Lou, Senior Product Marketing Manager and Spokesperson at POCO Global, the M8 Series represents a full-scale upgrade that balances portability, long battery life, immersive audiovisuals, and durability—without losing the fun, youth-driven DNA the M Series is known for.

Leading the lineup is the POCO M8 Pro 5G, designed as an all-round entertainment powerhouse. It is built for users who stream, game, shoot content, and stay connected all day. At its core is a flagship-level 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery engineered for longevity, paired with ultra-fast 100W HyperCharge that can fully recharge the device in just 40 minutes.

Reverse charging support turns the phone into a pocket power bank, while POCO’s advanced battery management system ensures safety and efficiency across daily use.

Visuals take center stage on the POCO M8 Pro 5G with its 6.83-inch 1.5K CrystalRes Flow AMOLED display. With peak brightness reaching up to 3,200 nits, the screen remains vivid and legible even under harsh sunlight. Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support elevate movies and shows, while high touch sampling ensures responsive gameplay.

Eye comfort is also prioritized through TÜV Rheinland-certified high-frequency PWM dimming and DC dimming, making long viewing sessions easier on the eyes.

Audio performance matches the visual punch. Dual 1115F speakers deliver rich, spatial sound enhanced by Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio, with a powerful volume boost that keeps dialogue and music clear even outdoors.

Under the hood, the POCO M8 Pro 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 Mobile Platform, delivering a massive leap in performance with an AnTuTu score exceeding one million. This translates to smoother multitasking, faster app launches, and more stable gaming.

For the first time in the M Series, POCO introduces its IceLoop Cooling System with real liquid cooling, allowing the device to sustain peak performance during extended gaming sessions.

Connectivity also gets a major boost. The Xiaomi Surge T1S Tuner improves signal stability, while Xiaomi Offline Communication makes its M Series debut, enabling kilometer-level voice calls even without cellular coverage. Running on Xiaomi HyperOS with Google Gemini and Circle to Search, the device offers smarter, faster, and more intuitive interactions.

Photography is equally elevated. The POCO M8 Pro 5G features a 50MP Light Fusion 800 main camera with optical image stabilization, capturing sharper photos with improved low-light performance. A 32MP front camera enhances video calls and selfies, while Ultra-Clear Portrait algorithms refine facial details naturally. The return of 4K video recording with built-in HDR adds versatility for creators, complemented by AI-powered tools that simplify editing and unlock creative possibilities.

Durability rounds out the premium experience. Despite its slim 8.31mm profile, the POCO M8 Pro 5G is reinforced with Gorilla Glass Victus 2, SGS-certified structural strength, and comprehensive dust and water resistance ratings, including IP66, IP68, and IP69. Wet Touch Technology ensures the screen remains responsive even in rainy or wet conditions, making the device ready for everyday adventures.

For users who prioritize portability, the POCO M8 5G delivers a lighter, slimmer alternative without sacrificing entertainment essentials. It features a 6.77-inch Flow AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and the same eye-care certifications, offering smooth visuals for streaming and gaming. Dual speakers with Dolby Atmos provide immersive sound, while a large battery keeps the device running through long days.

At just 7.35mm thin and 178g, the POCO M8 5G is the slimmest phone in the M Series to date. Its refined floating camera design and curved body enhance comfort and style, while IP66-rated protection and SGS-tested durability ensure it can handle daily wear and tear.

Powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 platform, the POCO M8 5G delivers reliable performance for multitasking, entertainment, and AI-powered features like Google Gemini and Circle to Search. A 5,520mAh battery with fast charging support, expandable storage up to 1TB, and memory extension up to 16GB ensure the phone keeps up with modern digital lifestyles.

On the camera side, the POCO M8 5G packs a 50MP Light Fusion 400 main sensor and a 20MP selfie camera, supported by AI tools that enhance portraits, remove reflections, and fine-tune images with ease.
