Police seized consumer items worth an estimated Php 150 million during a raid on a warehouse in Noveleta, Cavite, authorities said.

The operation, carried out on March 24, involved personnel from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, the Department of Trade and Industry’s E-Commerce Bureau, the PNP Maritime Group, and local police units.

Authorities said the raid was conducted in an industrial facility in Barangay San Rafael IV after receiving information about the storage and sale of products lacking proper certification.

Two suspects, identified only by their aliases Li and Bran, were arrested during the operation. Investigators said both were involved in handling various goods, including footwear, cosmetics, and electronic devices.

Initial findings showed that while the business was registered, the products being distributed were not certified by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), making their sale unlawful.

Officials said the seized items could pose risks to consumers due to the absence of required safety and quality checks.

PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said authorities will continue strict enforcement against illegal trade to protect the public from unsafe products and deceptive business practices.

He also urged the public to report suspicious activities, as authorities continue efforts to curb the spread of uncertified goods and safeguard consumer welfare.
