The Philippine National Police said the White Ribbon March at the Edsa People Power Monument remained generally peaceful and orderly on Sunday.

The PNP issued the assessment after deploying nearly 10,000 police personnel for the protest and related security operations.

Concerned police units were placed on full alert from 5 p.m. on June 27 until 12:01 a.m. on June 29.

PNP chief Gen. Jose Nartatez said reports from the ground showed that participants exercised their right to peaceful assembly responsibly.

He said police personnel were tasked to secure the area, maintain order, and help manage traffic with minimal disruption.

The march was organized by religious and civil society groups calling for accountability, electoral reforms, and the passage of a genuine anti-dynasty law.

Police were deployed in key areas, including the People Power Monument, Edsa Shrine, Mendiola Peace Arch, Ayala Bridge, the US Embassy, major roads, transport routes, and other convergence points.

The PNP said it coordinated with the Quezon City government, organizers, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, emergency responders, and other agencies to ensure security and traffic management during the protest.
