PNP logs nearly 11,000 protesters at INC rally

The Philippine National Police said about 10,850 protesters had gathered in several demonstration sites in Metro Manila on Tuesday.

The crowd estimate covered four protest areas, including the People Power Monument along Edsa.

As of 10 a.m., police said the largest crowd was at the Iglesia ni Cristo rally near White Plains Avenue, where about 10,000 participants were recorded.

Other protesters were monitored in nearby areas connected to the demonstrations.

Police said about 300 people gathered near the Edsa southbound corner of Connecticut Street.

Another 300 protesters were reported at Liwasang Bonifacio in Manila.

The PNP also logged around 250 demonstrators at the Edsa Shrine.

Authorities said 5,936 police personnel were deployed to the protest sites. Three police officials were reported injured, while two individuals were arrested during the continuing rallies.
