Ely Buendia received the Dangal ng Musikang Pilipino Award for his enduring impact as one of the pillars of contemporary Filipino music.
PlayTime proved once again that Filipino entertainment thrives brightest when passion meets purpose. At the 38th Awit Awards held at the Meralco Theater on November 16, 2025, the pioneering entertainment and lifestyle brand took center stage—celebrating local artistry while championing meaningful community support.
The storied theater glowed with OPM brilliance as the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI) brought together the industry’s finest. The night pulsed with electric performances from Ben&Ben, Lola Amour, Over October, BINI, and Dionela—artists who continue to push Filipino music into new emotional and cultural frontiers.
The celebration crowned its biggest winners with the Grand Awards: Ben&Ben’s The Traveller Across Dimensions for Album of the Year, Cup of Joe’s Misteryoso for Song of the Year, and Lola Amour’s Namimiss Ko Na for Record of the Year—each a snapshot of OPM’s evolving soul.
Pop royalty also dominated the spotlight. BINI delivered a multi-win sweep that included People’s Voice Favorite Group Artist, People’s Voice Favorite Album for Talaarawan, and Best Dance/Electronic Recording for Salamin, Salamin, while their ever-loyal BLOOMS fandom clinched the Vibe Stan Award. SB19 added to the star power with global and multi-genre honors, earning Best Global Collaboration Recording for Moonlight, Best Rap/Hip-Hop Recording and Best Music Video for Kalakal, and a People’s Voice Breakthrough Artist nod for Stell.

Carmela Lorzano, Dulce, and Sheryn Regis, perform a powerful rendition of “Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw”.
The evening’s most emotional milestone came with the Dangal ng Musikang Pilipino Award presented to Ely Buendia, honoring his legacy as one of the most influential voices in modern Filipino music.
True to its ethos of entertainment with heart, PlayTime punctuated the ceremony with a powerful act of generosity. As communities continue to rebuild after recent typhoons, PlayTime announced a PHP1 million donation to Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc. (AKFI) to support disaster response, livelihood programs, and long-term community empowerment under Tulong Mga Kapatid.
“We at PlayTime believe that music has always carried the heartbeat of the Filipino—our joys, our struggles, our resilience,” said Krizia Cortez, PlayTime’s Director of Public Relations. “Entertainment must also uplift. Our support for the Awit Awards and our PHP1 million commitment to Alagang Kapatid Foundation honor both the artists who shape our culture and the communities who inspire it.”
The pledge strengthens the ongoing partnership between PlayTime CARES and AKFI, reflecting a shared mission to serve vulnerable communities and nurture a culture of compassion.
More than a year-end celebration of Filipino music, the 38th Awit Awards became a reminder of OPM’s role as a unifying force—one that bridges generations, energizes local pride, and inspires collective hope.
With its continued investment in talent, culture, and community, PlayTime is redefining entertainment as a platform for empowerment. And in a night filled with applause, it was clear: the future of Filipino music is not only bright—it’s purpose-driven, powerful, and proudly ours.
