Get ready to see the future unfold at the 2025 DOST-NCR Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW)! From November 24 to 26, the Technological Institute of the Philippines in Quezon City will transform into a hub of creativity, curiosity, and cutting-edge discovery, showcasing how Filipino innovation is shaping the cities of tomorrow.

Step into the Smart City Studio, where ideas meet action. Here, local governments, tech developers, and dreamers will explore real-world solutions under DOST’s Smart and Sustainable Communities Program. Expect interactive demos, expert talks, and collaboration zones designed to help build smarter, greener, and more resilient cities across the NCR.

This year’s theme, Building Smart and Sustainable Communities, takes on new meaning with a lineup of interactive exhibits, techno bazaars, research forums, and science competitions that spotlight the brilliance of Filipino scientists and innovators. The event will also mark the launch of new Innovation Hubs and Advanced Manufacturing Centers (AMCen) across NCR — creative spaces equipped to fast-track product development and reduce the country’s reliance on imported materials.

Visitors can also take part in the Smart City Design Challenge, where participants reimagine future-ready communities through the lenses of technology, sustainability, and inclusivity. Meanwhile, gaming enthusiasts can look forward to Battle Up: Local Game Showcase and Esports Challenge, featuring homegrown titles like Salpakan: Game of the Generals, and an inspiring talk on the Future of Game Development in NCR.

The event will also celebrate the fusion of tradition and innovation through Lakbay Disenyo, where DOST-PTRI and the Philippine Footwear Federation, Inc. unveil fashion creations crafted from sustainable local materials — redefining what it means to wear Filipino ingenuity.

Entrepreneurs and changemakers can immerse themselves in Tech Talks for Tomorrow, with sessions such as Conversations on Smart Urban Futures and TeknoLokal, exploring how smart technologies can empower LGUs, MSMEs, and communities. Discussions on circular urban systems, innovation commercialization, and sustainable city planning promise to open new pathways for inclusive growth.

At the Technology Exhibit and Techno Bazaar, visitors can experience innovation firsthand through products and technologies developed by DOST-assisted MSMEs and community partners — proof that Filipino science is not just world-class but people-centered.

As the DOST proudly says, Science is for everyone. Science is for everybody. Mark your calendars for November 24–26, and discover how technology, creativity, and collaboration are building the Philippines of tomorrow.
