The Pineda family continued its dominance in Pampanga’s political scene with a resounding victory in the 2025 midterm elections. On Tuesday, the provincial board of canvassers confirmed that Lilia Pineda will return as governor after receiving 707,782 votes. She defeated independent candidates Danilo Baylon (475,200 votes) and Amado Santos (6,835 votes).
Her son, Dennis Pineda, was elected vice governor with 748,990 votes, outpacing former governor Eddie Panlilio, who garnered 385,926 votes.
The results were based on 97.77% of election returns processed, with Pampanga being the second most vote-rich province in Central Luzon, having 1,674,789 registered voters.
