Phoenix Petroleum, through its corporate social responsibility arm Phoenix Philippines Foundation, Inc., joined thousands of volunteers across the globe in the 2025 International Coastal Cleanup on September 20, reinforcing its advocacy for marine protection and sustainable communities.
In the Philippines, Phoenix mobilized its employees and partner communities across 10 coastal sites surrounding its depots and LPG plants. From Batangas to Bacolod, Aklan, Davao, General Santos, Villanueva, Zamboanga, Iligan, and two sites in Cebu, the collective effort resulted in 316 sacks of waste collected—ranging from single-use plastics to assorted marine debris.

“This annual cleanup is a reminder of our shared duty to safeguard our oceans and the livelihoods that depend on them,” said Phoenix Senior Vice President Atty. Raymond Zorrilla. “Every sack of waste we remove is a meaningful contribution toward cleaner shores and healthier marine ecosystems.”

The International Coastal Cleanup, led globally by the Ocean Conservancy, is recognized as the largest volunteer movement dedicated to ocean health. By actively supporting this initiative year after year, Phoenix underscores its long-term commitment to environmental stewardship and the pursuit of sustainable operations across the country.
